Which Mac Air? 11" or 13"

I will be taking many classes online in the fall, and will need to take notes in class on my laptop as well. This laptop will be my main device. I am torn between the Macbook Air 13'' and 11". I think the portability will serve me tremendously in the 11'', but I also want to be able to see the screen and not strain my eyes while I am writing papers and watching videos. What do you suggest I do??

Thank you much!!

You have the answer right here. Both the 11 and 13 are portable but only the 13 will allow you to work comfortably. Go for the 13! :)

air 13". i got refurbished with top of the line specs for as much as the new with low specs. it came with 1 yr warranty. works perfectly and sooo light. my friend had 11" and it gets hard when u have multiple windows and have to go back and forth between them

Loving my 13" baby.

13" hands down. It's super light but the screen is big enough where you won't strain and you can have two windows up at once and still be able to read them

Haha. Yea I've had mine for 3 years and still love it intensely.

I have relative who recently bought the mac air as he is starting the bsn program this fall. He was actually deciding between the air and the pro. He decided to get the Mac air 13 inch, very good decision, not too small and not too big. Very light weight as well. If your worried about size then definitely get a 13 inch, a 11inch is very small.

Definitely the 13.

I even think the 13 is too small sometimes (I originally wanted the 17).

I don't know when they come out but have you seen the new 12 inch coming out? It's purty. . .

I went all through RN to BSN with the Mac book Air. Light enough to carry in a big purse, big enough to type countless papers on comfortably. Made it 2.5 semesters through a graduate program, now it's starting to slow down a bit. And apparently macs don't love SPSS statistical software. So I had to get a POS, sorry, a PC to run that.

Anyway, I have many more semesters to go & I've been eyeing those new Airs that keep popping up on my screen. . .

The new 12" MacBooks are out and they are great! I'd definitely choose it over the Air. Super light (2 lbs.) and thin, beautiful Retina display, available in 3 colors, and full-sized keyboard: Apple - MacBook - Tech Specs

I have a 13" MacBook Pro and love it, but it's heavier than I'd like. I tried out the new 12" in the store and the screen doesn't seem small at all to me. The only thing I'd have to get used to is the keyboard, has a different feel from what they've offered in the past.

Thanks everyone! I am leaning towards the bigger screen and I will soon go to Best Buy and compare screen sizes!
