Hi Again,
I know i posted before but I just wanted to know how you guys manage your stress while maintaining this difficult program?
Me, I'm trying to meditate, do yoga, and aerobics. It DOES actually help and I'm really suprised. I'm trying to think postive like saying to myself, "What happens is gonna happen, and I'm trying my best.'' Instead of constantly worrying like, OH MY GOSH, I HAVE TO DO THIS AND THAT AND constantly thinking negative thoughts(or I WAS doing this really bad), like "what if I fail, this is too much, I think I'm gonna quit, this is unfair, the tests are trickey." Instead, I'm trying to "reprogramm" my mind with meditation and more positive thought patterns. And I'm also to trying to live MOMENT to MOMENT and I can't belive it, but it's really starting to be effective.:)

I try and find a very short time to "escape" ...put on my Jimmy Buffet CD and close my eyes and imagine i am in Key West on the beach with a margarita and my dh.........
sometimes it only takes about 5 minutes to regroup, but i feel much better afterward. I also try to get away even for an overnight once in a while..i bring my books and study, but the change in environment helps. good luck..you will find the coping skills to get through it!

excercise to burn off all of the cheezits I eat. :)
LOL, those are my FAVORITE!!!!:roll
Don't get me wrong, my thoughts aren't totally positive, I do at times feel overwhelmed but my way of thinking is definitely improving. This post kinda contradicts my other post, but like I said, I'm not as bad!

A little bit of everything ranging from a nice warm bubble bath, listening to soothing music and a cup of Chai tea...................to just crawling in bed and sobbing.

Besides that, my violin and my neighbor's offer of a horse to ride whenever have been great stress-relievers.
I "try" to take time for me every now and then, I think that would help me much, but it doesn't happen very often. So, more often than not I resort to teeth-clenching, crying myself to sleep, etc.

How sad is this? I came home after a long day and ate the cheezits. At least I exercised this morning before I left :)

Beer, I reward myself for doing well on exams and such with a night out at the end of each four weeks of clinical.

a hard, sweat induced cardio workout. The pain and exhaustion make you forget all about school for awhile :chuckle
