I start school in August. What would be your top ten things to buy before school starts in relation to school supplies. Not nursing essentials like BP cuff etc...just for studying and organization purposes. Thanks y'all :)

I am going to say an IPhone. Even if you can't use is when you are at the hospital, it is so helpful with studies, organization and just flat out handy. I know they are a lot of money, but they are worth every penny.
One of the less expensive things to get is notecards. I use a ton!

Study time, and lots of it.
Paper (lined and unlined) and black click pens (notes and clinicals.)
Computer/printer/ink.
An organized place to keep all your school books.
Paper clips- I sorted each unit into its own little portable section with a paper clip. I put all lectures for the week into a folder so I didn't need to carry everything all the time.
My most useful- blank charts I made to lay out diseases- signs/symptoms, treatments, meds, what differentiates it from similar illnesses, and nursing interventions. On the backside of these charts, I put more info about the meds- action, expected outcomes, major adverse effects and common side effects. This was especially helpful for my psych rotation

I'm interested in the chart, too, if you are willing to share! Thanks!

Lots of coffee and travel mugs. A crockpot would be good to have too so you can easily make large batches of healthy food.

index cards, heavy duty hole punch and rings to keep all those index cards together. And keep a copy of everything you turn into your college because they always loose something.

I agree with elprup - LOTS Of index cards if you are read/write learner. If you are an auditory learner, I highly recommend getting a digital recorder with a USB or if you have an iphone, download an app called SuperNote to record your lectures. Good luck!!

When I was in school I tried to print out all of my stuff at school. Fortunately, the nursing building had its own computer room. I figured since I was already paying an obligatory fee every semester that I'd make use of it rather than waste my home supplies and pay twice, lol.
Beyond that I don't think I ever bought any school supplies. I just used what I had laying around my office. I'm not really a note taker, as a rule, and I can't stand highlighting, lol. I got through my first science degree years ago with those methods, and I got a 3.7 GPA on my BSN with the same. A C in an eight hour obstetrics/pediatrics class, which I was more than happy with (and haven't used since!), pulled the GPA down, lol. Just find what works for you, and stick with it regardless of what other people are doing or trying.
I worked full-time through nursing school, and the best thing I learned was that the work will get done. Don't worry about it. When it comes time to do it you'll do it so there's no point in concerning yourself with it and by that I mean stressing over it. I work full-time now and have a separate and totally unrelated part-time/hobby job, and the same holds true. I don't worry. I just do. It'll all come out in the end. :)
