Oh My God. It's August 1st. I see a lot of posts about students starting in August. It's even closer than we thought. I'm nervous, wired, excited, etc. etc. all at the same time. I'm just finishing up a refresher math course at a local college now as I've been out of school for some time. And this will help me with the Drug Dosage & Calcs classes starting in August. It's sooner than we think!

Suzy..... hi, i'm a former rhode islander!

I start in august.....its ALMOST HERE! I can't wait...i get butterflies when i think about it!

Starting in August and cannot wait. Going back to finish up - left in 1999. They say timining is everything...well this is our time. Good Luck to all.

Hi,

I am really excited and can't wait to start! I will be very busy until then so it will be here quickly. I have to get my books next week, take the CPR course, get TB shot and buy my kids school clothes. My son and I are both anxious to go back to school :)

Wow, I have to do exactly the same things...I haven't gotten a book list yet. CPR has changed since I was last certified. I hate physicals need to complete that too!

I just got my acceptance letter yesterday and CPR is the 18th!!! It's the first day of school for my kids and I won't be getting them off for school...I guess I'll better get used to it.

I'd bought a book at the bookstore and since I finished Micro in summer school, I've been working on it. It's Dimensional Analysis for Med. Administration. I love it!!! The dimensional analysis makes so much sense and the more I work the problems, the more common sense it seems.

Congrats on your acceptance Cheryl :)

I have orientation in one and a half weeks and then classes actually start the following week.

Is anyone else feeling "non-enthusiastic"?

I mean, I was so psyched up until last semester and then this past summer I just started feeling less excited. I think I am just nervous about handling everthing and scared at how hard it is going to be and questioning if I am making the right decision.

Anyone else like that?

Yes Colleen- I'm right there with you. I'm not sure I'm non-enthusiastic, but I'm definitely scared and aprehensive. I have 3 kids and my hubby is mostly supportive but sometimes he doesn't get why I have to study for as many hours as I do. School came easy to him and he's one of those who reviewed his notes and got an A every time.

We'll make it though because we made it this far!!!

Good luck to you!

Marci:)

Thanks Marci, I don't feel so bad now.

I may have that "deer in head lights" thing going on!

I'm excited and terrified all at the same time. I think about it and think "Woohoo, I'm starting nursing school," then two seconds later, I'm scared to death and wonder if I'll be able to do it.

Good luck to all of us! :)

And I thought it was just me!!

I am TERRIFIED!!! I have so many things to do before the 25th, that I don't know if I'll get it all done. Then there is the worry about not being able to do the work. I am hoping that my 2 Chem classes and my Algebra class were the hardest, but my math instructor kept telling me that Nursing is HARD!!

I have 4 kids who need clothes and school supplies. I still don't know if I have FA. My house is a disaster area. My van needs a tune-up and my dh's truck needs new brakes. Both of which I MUST do before the 25th. I haven't slept for the last 2 nights so I have been up for 38hrs. and am not even tired!!

I should know one way or the other on my FA by 2pm today. I am almost to scared to call!!

Good luck to us all as we start our career training!
