Well, that is what today is. First day of NS! I have Fundamentals lecture and lab today. I'm excited to get it going, but realize that my "normal" life was over when I went to bed last night!!
I feel like I am so unprepared, even though I have already delved into the reading (like a maniac). I haven't figured out how to use my PDA yet, I still have to get my notebooks organized, I have to figure out how to get the lecture notes off the web that are powerpoint (geez, I don't have PP on my laptop!!!). I have no clue how to do my online pharm class.
Other than that, I have all my books, supplies, uniforms, motivation.
So, here I go.
The beginning of the end of my normal life,
but the beginning of the education back to my normal life.
If that doesn't make sense, it's because I'm looney today...and it probably doesn't make sense!
Ahhhh, more coffee please!

Well, here's a tip about powerpoint. Just go to microsoft.com and download the powerpoint viewer. you don't have to have PP on your laptop to view the slides.

Congratulations!!!! I started two and a half weeks ago and my life has been turned upside down. It's the best, though, b/c I am learning so much. It's still waaaaaaay too new for me, but I know that with practice I'll get it. We're going to start doing our clinicals in the hospital (since we started, we've been doing our clinicals in the lab at school) and I can't wait. I can't wait. However, you're right Woogy, it will be the end of "normal" life as you know it. God bless you and good luck.
Mave.
Well, I survived!!:rotfl:
It went just fine. You know...a lot of syllabus stuff and how to show professionalism, blah, blah...
My lecture class is jam packed with students, and I love being in the front, so I guess I will just have to make it a priority to show up early.
Lab is supposed to be from 2-4:50, but we were done at 3!!! Gotta love the first day! My friend and I were tired, so it worked out nicely.
We didn't really learn much today, but back to the grindstone tomorrow.
Thanks for all the well-wishes everyone, and CRNASOMEDAY.....
thank you, thank you, thank you! You just saved me many trips to the computer lab to print those out!
ps. There is someone in my 1st semester with almost the same last name as me (which mine is VERY unusual...gee...it's almost my username). They are just missing one letter. Luckily he is a guy (sorts out some of the confusion that might happen), but so far he is in both my lecture and lab. It's kindof funny. Everytime I say my last name, I get a weird look and then they ask for an explaination of the origin.

You're welcome.
