Well, we started nursing school officially Wednesday - so 2 days down and I'm already overwhelmed! LOL
Anyone else started yet?
I'll post a more thorough update soon, but for now I'm blogging my experiences in some detail every day.

Yeap, nursing school is not easy in the beginning. It's like you're entering a whole new world where the only species that seem normal are your classmates, cause quite frankly, no one else knows what your going through unless they have lived in that world for a while........ok, i'm back on Earth now. Good luck.
Manna, you've inspired me to start my own blog. Yours is really neat.

Congratulations Manna on starting nursing school. Don't worry it will all seem clearer to you real soon....at least that's what other nursing students have told me. I won't get to experience this "out of this world" phenomena until Sept. 7th.

All I can say is goodluck. Whatever you dojust take one day at at time. I cant believe that there are not more married people or people w/ kids where you go to school. I have been taking all the pre reqs with the basic same group of people and most are married and many have kids. It really makes it easier on me to have people understand about moody husbands and sick kids. I hope to start a program (any program) either in the Spring 05 or Fall 05. Then I will be asking you for advise:chuckle

That is great that you are off to a good start and blogging,
Just a warningm posting the blog adress in your sig is considered advertising. I got a private message jsut now to take mine out, but you can put it as your homepage in your profile.

Just wanted to wish you good luck, and congrats on surviving the first few days! I think you'll get in a "groove" and pretty soon, you won't even notice that you've cleared a substantial portion of the rainforest singlehandedly with the volume of paper you use each day...:chuckle
I am quite shy myself... and I am back in prereq classes with 18, 19, 20-year-olds. Somehow, I didn't think there was going to be a huge difference in relating to my classmates... but I've always been "older" than my age, and I just can't relate to staying up all hours, boozing out at the club, and all the superficial things I overhear in conversations! So, it's hard... but it does get easier. Though I'm not in clinicals yet, all my nursing school and RN friends tell me that no matter who the students are, you form a pretty tight bond with everyone by the end because you are all so stressed from school...
>>> Good luck, and enjoy your weekend...
Thanks everybody!
I didn't realize that posting a blog link was against TOS - seen it in several posts/sigs before, so that's my error. Thanks for the heads up and my apologies to the staff.
If anyone else would like a link to my blog, feel free to PM me anytime! :)

Oh no! Can you please pm it to me? I didn't bookmark it, thinking I would be able to find it here when I wanted to read it.

Hi Manna! I read the first 2 days of your blog and loved it! I'm sorry you weren't able to keep the url up! Could you send it to me? I will bookmark it this time! :) Thanks for doing this!
I tried to PM you, but apparently you are quite popular! You don't have enough space to accept my PM! :chuckle

I am new and this may be a stupid question, but what is a blog??
Also, if it is a link to a website and you ask a member for the link, then it would not be considered advertising, would it? I mean we share links to sites for info, supplies, etc.
Just wondering.
