I WANT TO KNOW WHAT YOU GUYS THINK ABOUT THIS... I AM ENROLLED IN A LPN PROGRAM AND HAVE BEEN THERE FOR ABOUT 3 WEEKS NOW... I SENT THEM MY OFFICIAL TRANSCRIPTS FROM THE COMMUNITY COLLEGE BEFORE I GOT ACCEPTED... NOW IM SITTING IN THIS A&P COURSE WHEN I ALREADY TAKEN A&P 1 & 2.. NO ONE TOLD ME ABOUT GETTTING CREDIT FOR MY COURSES I DIDNT EVEN THINK TWICE ABOUT IT UNTIL I SEEN SOMEONE ELSE LEAVE THE CLASS BECAUSE THEY HAD ALREADY TAKEN A&P ALSO... SO NOW IM SITTING IN THE CLASS THINKING WHY AM I HERE I HAVE TAKEN THIS ALREAY JUST A COUPLE OF MONTHS AGO! CAN THEY DENY ME and TELL ME THAT I HAVE TO STAY IN THE COURSE??

I would go and find out if the one you took from your other college will be accepted if you drop the course now and explain that you didn't know it would transfer.. its worth a shot

No way, what would be the purpose of that! I'd bring in my transcripts to show them, and ask to sign you off. Heather

THANK EVERYONE.. I WILL LET YOU KNOW WHAT HAPPENS TOMORROW THey already have my transcripts so they know that I have completed one and two....

Go to the dean if you do not get results. Many times the school just tries to force you into taking these courses again for no reason other than money!!!!

Yeah, get to the bottom of this. What's the point in even going to school if you arent getting credit for it?

Well I dont get it.. They gave me credit for my courses but at the end of level one I have to take a test in A&P so to me they are not giving me credit... You would think that my College credits was enough why do I have to take another test to prove what I know when I passed it in College.

Born2BAnurse, So are you telling us that you actually took these same classes just a few months ago and that the new community college that you are going to, will not give you complete credits for them? And what do you mean that you still have to take an A&P test at the end of level one? What is level one?

Sorry, but something sounds fishy to me re: how they are dealing with you! It sounds like someone needs to sit down with you and to explain things better where they make sense. I mean, if you have already taken these classes, why will they not just give you credit for the classes? Did you make a C or better? I think possibly that some schools require that you make a certain grade in order for it to count, if you want to be considered for a specific major. At the community college where I am going, I must make a B or better on any required prerequisite before being admitted to the Nursing Program. Let us know what you find out, okay?

HI RN2007, I took A&P I and II and the Community college in Philadelphia. I am now in LPN school and the LPN school said that I dont have to sit in A&P I because Ive already taken it but at the end of level 1 (which is A&P and Nursing 101) I have to take a A&P test.. I dont know why IT dont make sense to me but I do.. DO you understand ?

I think perhaps they want to be sure you retained your basic knowledge of anat and phys concepts.......

are they making you pay for the test??????
