See-thru white scrubs

:angryfire :uhoh3:  So I bought my flipping white scrubs today that I have to wear to clinicals, and as Im checking out the dimples that are visible on my bum, (through the lovely white pants) in the dressing room mirror, I started to think that who ever came up with WHITE SEE-THRU scrub pants must have been some old pervert or an angry, mean, bad person!!!!!!

Then I got an idea:idea: !! Let me know what you think.

All of us that are required to wear the whites, should buy some REALLY, REALLY BRIGHT colored undies. I mean crazy stuff, like blue and pink polka dots, or the victoria secret/fredricks panties that have provocative sayings on the hiney. Or the Joe Boxer smiley face guy on the derriere.

Then, when the higher ups tell us we cant wear pretty undies with polka dots or black lace, or sexy garter belts, then we might be able to convince them that white is not practical for most of us.

What do you say? Shall we start a revolution?

LOL! No, I don't recommend the revolution. But I *DO* have some more realistic suggestions:

1- buy better quality white scrub pants. If you can see the parking lot through them when you hold them up to a window, please put them back. Also, if the price is much lower than the other options, take the hint: they're light on fabric!!

2- buy flesh-colored underwear, FULL CUT. Seriously, when you are forced to wear tissue-thin scrubs, this is where white underwear, colored underwear and thongs have no place.

Jasco has white "Can't See Thru" pants and tops. They're a heavier weight, and you CAN'T see through them (I bought the pants for graduation, and am happy enough with them that I'll wear them on the job).

Happy Trails! :)

get yourself a pair of undies that has 'kiss this' printed across the seat

Our program strictly states that we have to wear white underwear under our white pants - NO THONGS! I usually wear the boy cut underwear - it's a little better because they are more like shorts than underwear.

Our school went to uniforms a few semesters back (white top, red pants) Since our class was grandfathered in, we had the option of sticking to the all white scrubs or wearing the red pants and white top. I don't think there's one student in my class that stuck with the whites. :lol2:

My school switched from white to navy recently supposedly because there was a girl who always showed up in red thongs. So your revolution just might work for you too! :lol2:

Weiiird, I was just shopping around today for some underwear that would be appropriate and not totally granny.

In my opinion, all that should have earned her was a ticket home and a make-up assignment for the day! I can understand wanting a change in policy, but there are ways to go about enacting change in a professional manner.

Professionalism should begin in school,

LOL! Well, although another poster said the program required white undies under white scrub pants, you can oftentimes SEE those white undies! So, if you get flesh-colored underwear: NO see-thru. Not as if an instructor is about to complain because she CAN'T see your underwear, right?!?

Full cut, boy cut, whatever, as long as it's NOT something bikini-cut: those lines are NOT what you want showing.

Sorry, but that sounds like it has all the markings of a Nursing School Myth, or legend. If someone "always shows up" in red thongs, it doesn't change how the school operates: it dumps the student!

I ended up with something kind of boy cut, nude, and seamless from victoria's secret. They were sort of pricey though and once I tried them on when I got home, I can't decide if they're comfortable. The search continues...

I got microfiber ones (sold in three-paks in SAM'S Club); I think the brand was Olga (or something like that)? They were just over ten bucks for the three.

Anyway, they were seamless, peachy-beige (I'm a white girl, so that's nude for me!), full cut (brief style) and were SO comfortable! Really, quite wonderful :D

My school also has the white uniforms for clinicals. I thought it was going to be horrible wearing those white pants. They are thick than I expected. Although I am not fond of the slight taper in the leg bottoms (its soooo 80s style to me). The top of the pants fit really strange. The like barely cover the top of my butt and the front of the pants fit me like they are maternity pants. I was like ohh no way!! Then I put the top on and you can't see the weirdness. Thank goodness for that longer shirt!! I am just so excited to be in this program!!! Woo Hooo!!:balloons:
