Hello to All!

Can anyone help me with wording ideas for my pinning ceremony invitations. Poems, quotes, scriptures or anything r/t the nursing profession would be great. What was on your invitations?

Are you asking because you're designing them for the class to use, or personal ones only you will be sending?

I designed my class's, and it was simple, formal wording and elegant font text. Nothing too fluffy, just The Faculty and Graduating Nursing Students of Blank School request the honor of your presence at the Candlelight Ceremony, yada yada, date/time/location.

Simple is best.

With great happiness, I am announcing my graduation from ______________ on_________ at_____________at___________

First middle and Last name

Front: (written in some sort of elegant writing - maybe calligraphy?)

First and Last Name (fairly large) with a small School insignia under it

Inside: (nice writing - may or may not match front)

Nursing is an art: and if it is to be made an art, it requires an exclusive devotion as hard a preparation, as any painter's or sculptor's work; for what is the having to do with dead canvas or dead marble, compared with having to do with the living body, the temple of God's spirit? It is one of the Fine Arts: I had almost said, the finest of Fine Arts.

The (insert name of school) faculty along with the (BSN, RN, LPN, Diploma) class of 2006 request the honor of your presence at their Pinning Ceremony.

If there is a reception or anythig afterward that could go here:

Reception following. (Location)

Also maybe include a small print-out of directions from a common place such as an interstate exit for those who do not know how to get there - or at least include the address so they can mapquest it)

Wow, you have invitations? They just had us right down how many people we think will be coming. There is not usually a limit...I ordered my pin a couple of weeks ago-I'm very excited. Most people at my school don't even go to graduation-they look foward more to the pinning.(two separate ceremonies at my school)

Are you asking because you're designing them for the class to use, or personal ones only you will be sending?

I'm designing my own. I don't know if they even sell invitations for nurses pinning ceremonies; or at least I haven't found any.

:nurse:

Thanks everyone for your ideas and suggestions. I am soooo excited. I'm also looking forward to pinning more than the graduation ceremony.:yeah:
