Frustrated here........
I would feel frustrated too! Hang in there and keep focused on the direction you want to go-- things will fall in to place in time!

Tattoos and nursing
I completely agree, doesn't matter at all what tatoos or piercings people have, it does not say anything about how they do their job.

Adults top ten concerns about kids...
I saw this and immediately thought that this isn't the order I would have put my own concerns in. I know the concerns are different for everyone but was wondering how other people would order this list. What would your top 3 be? "Here are their top 10 concerns and the percentage of participants rating each concern as a "big problem." Participants could use the "big problem" rating more than once." 1. Smoking: 40% 2. Teen drug abuse: 39% 3. Childhood obesity: 34% 4. Teen alcohol abuse: 33% 5. Driving accidents: 29% 6. Teen pregnancy: 28% 7. Internet safety: 26% 8. School violence: 24% 9. Sexually transmitted infection: 24% 10. Abuse and neglect: 22% http://www.webmd.com/parenting/news/20070504/adults-top-10-concerns-about-kids My top 3 are alcohol abuse, drug abuse and internet safety. Thought internet safety would actually be a lot higher considering the amount of teens using the internet and the frightening statistics I have read on the NetSmartz411 site about internet predators contacting and meeting teens. Everything in the list concerns me, I just thought the order would be different, but again, that is just me.

Humorous Introspection
I've started cussing like a sailor! It's one of my new year's resolutions to stop, actually. Unrelated to nursing, but when I waited tables for a year, I had to yell "Corner!" every time I turned the corner between the kitchen and the dining area to warn anyone approaching from the other direction. It got to the point where I would turn a corner in my house and yell "CORNER!" to no one in particular. LOL.

Is there other flight besides continental going to saipan?
Does Lufthansa fly there? I have heard they are very good compared to other international carriers, and my coworker passed me on an e-mail about their winter sale. Not sure if that will help!

Healthier Living Support - Part III
Wow, everyone is doing so great!! Congrats! Mary - hard do resist Maryland crabs, huh? I know what you mean But glad you were able to "walk it off," it's always good to have fun ways to vary up your excercise routine! I have been trying to focus my eating plan on lowering the amount of saturated fats in my diet, which has been a process indeed! I have been trying to use Olive Oil and Sunflower Oil (the good oils) and limiting trans fats in the process... And I have been walking a ton, too, which always helps :)

nursing + exercise?
That Yoga Booty Ballet does sound pretty fun - I love the new trend of getting really creative with exercise options, instead of just settling for something that's boring or unoriginal. I signed up for the Yoga cardio in my PUSH progam for my next disc, which should be very fun (and almost like yoga booty ballet, maybe!) I like that I can change it up from disc to disc if I want so if the yoga cardio is not for me, or I don't feel like it's challenging enough, I can switch it later - instead of risking getting something that might not be the kind of activity for me (I am so picky a lot of the time). So, I'll let you know what it is when I get it, and we can compare "dance yoga" notes

nursing + exercise?
I can definitely see how swimming feels especially good when you are pregnant...and it is definitely the time of year for it! I have to admit that while I love walking and playing around outside, there's something nice about hiding out in my air conditioned place when really getting into exercising. And part of what I like with PUSH is the idea of having a personal trainer who goes through it with me :) One of the cardio ideas has yoga in it...maybe I'll go with that. I also want to try a dance one at some point! So I have to ask because I've seen it elsewhere too...what is yoga booty ballet exactly?

Healthier Living Support - Part III
Hi all - sounds like everyone is doing well...hurray! :) I ended up picking up a bag or two of the chips made with sunflower oil to try them out and yum - good as ever and I even managed to eat just a bit at a time! Healthy junkfood, indeed Walked a ton outside over the weekend and am on a new exercise kick (just wrote about it in the other thread). This weather really perks me up!

nursing + exercise?
I am definitely one of those people who has trouble fitting exercise into my day...but as much as I try to believe that walking a bit here and there is enough, I know better My latest attempt at exercising regularly is a program called PUSH - you get a DVD each month with two strength training sessions with a personal trainer and one cardio session of your choice. It's short enough to fit into my day and I like the variety of it...so far, so good! Anyone else used this? I'm coming up on choices for my next cardio and want to pick something good!

Healthier Living Support - Part III
It's almost the weekend! I can't wait to play outside...it is supposed to be nice! I was at the grocery store last week and checked out the lay's selection...they have changed all chips now to the healthier sunflower oil style of making them. Good news for those of us who can't resist a snack but want to do it in a healthier way! I'll have to make sure to balance it out this weekend with walking or playing tennis :)

Liking the dinner ideas of fajitas and curry...may have to try one of those tonights! Thanks for the chips advice...I am a Baked Lay's fan...who knew they had so many other varieties of baked chips too? Poking around that site, I found more info on the new chips formula too if anyone is interested: http://www.fritolay.com/fl/flstore/cgi-bin/ProdDetEv_Cat_304_NavRoot_303_ProdID_476855.htm

Yoga is a good way to exercise and destress at the same time, I recommend it too! So on my hunt for knowledge about fats, I'm trying to find out which products are better than others for when I have a craving for something salty. Any chips recs? I read that Frito just changed up their formula to cut saturated fat way down...anyone try the new chips?

Healthier Living Support - Part III
Nice to see a new thread! :) Tweety, thanks for your advice before on good vs. bad fats...makes sense definitely to significantly limit trans fats in our diets! I am excited that olive oil is one of the healthier options, though I feel like I've seen a bit about sunflower oil lately too, so I've been trying to learn more about it. Not sure if it is as much something that we cook with or something to look for as an ingredient instead of the saturated fats in the foods that we eat!
