Hi. Am new to this board, and so glad I found it! I am in my second year of a BSN program. Right now I am in A&P I, microbiology, and some other required liberal arts courses. A&P is about to kill me. The University I am at requires nurses to take a 300 level A&P with the pre-med students. I find it incredible difficult and my professor is not very helpful. gggrrr... some days I wonder if it is really worth all of the stress. I just wanted to introduce myself here.
Thanks

prairegirl...what school are u attending? A 300 level A&P w/ med students sounds like a killer! I am a 1st year BSN student and I have to take A&P with labs, Bio-chem, and Developmental Psyc. It was required that I take microbiology as a prereq. Good luck with everything and don't give up. Trust me I fill your pain.

How is taking AP and micro at the same time? Are you finding it managable?

Hey everyone! I'm new to allnurses as well!! I absolutely love it! I'm a Freshman as well. I've heard Micro is very hard, and I have it next semester..is there ALOT of truth to that?
~Ashley~
Taking AP and micro together is "managable". But it is quite stressful and I find myself having to take turns with subjects to study (I have an AP night, then a micro night..) It seems that I get behind in whichever one I dont have a test in that week. So I feel like I am constantly playing catch up. But I am doing good (so far A's) in both. But I do spend everynight studying and every weekend so it takes alot of time management and commitment. Plus I am also taking 2 other liberal arts (required for my BSN) courses on top of it. But it all can be done.....but life will be so much better after this semester is over :)

Welcome! Not new to allnurses, but I'm a 1st year student at a local college here in Maine majoring in Medical Radiography. So far I only have two classes that go towards my major: Medical Termonology I and Human Relations.
I love Medical Termonology, I have soo many notecards!
