Wow!!! That's a lot...but you only know if you can handle it. Are you going to be a first semester nursing student? I will be a first semester nursing student (if I'm accepted into the nursing program....I'll know by June 15th) I was previously an Early Childhood Education major so I took all the liberal arts pre-req's required for education and nursing....so I only have nursing courses to take. My required courses for Sept. is only 6 credits...that consists of Nursing 107 and Math 116. So I plan on taking A & P 2 (4 credits)....I may have to take a real easy course so that I'll be considered a full-time student.

Wow! That's a pretty brutal schedule...but if you can do it, go for it! :) When I took stats my first time in college (for my psych degree) it KICKED MY BUTT! But that's just me. I'd probably do better now, at least I hope so.
Right now I'm planning on taking A&P II and one other class. Maybe psych (I still can't believe I have to take a psych class since I've got my bachelor's in psych...but I digress). I work full-time, so 2-3 classes are about all I can handle.
Good luck! :)

Ok...not to rain on your enthusiasm but OMG you are crazy
I sure hope you can do it. That is an awfully tough load, especiallyfor a freshman. I agree with AmyLiz on the Stats thing - I took it by itself last summer and it was brutal - I had to hire a tutor to get a 'C' and it ruined my 4.0 All I can say is give it a shot and you can always drop one if need be.

Hi,
Wow....
You're motivated!
Just be careful, you don't want your GPA to take the hit if somthing gives...(especially if your GPA is considered when you apply to the clinical portion of your studies....)
You'll know by the end of the second week or so, if it's do-able...if you find it isn't , you can always drop a class to ease up your schedule..
Good Luck! You can do it!

Good for you Miss JKm! I am almost done with a semester I thought I could never handle with three kids, two cats, a husband, and a partridge in a pear tree! Everyone told me I was nuts but i did it and maintained my grades! 17 Credit hours including Chemistry and Microbiology! Don't let yourself think you can't do it! :roll

It's do-able, but not fun! I'm taking APII, Micro, Chem, Nutrition and Algebra, and I can't wait for the semester to end. I can't wait to do something besides go to school and study...like sleep. Good Luck, you can do it, just stay focused.
