Hello fellow A&P students!
I've been reading the posts from some of your first exam results. I thought it might be a good idea to try to build a mnemonics thread for Marieb's A&P, since that's what most of us are using, and would be helpful to everyone else too! Here are a couple I've come up with for Chapters 1, 2 and 3:
3 types of hexose sugars:
remember:a-b-c-d-e-F-G-G-H-i-j-k-l
The capital letters are the important ones: "H" is for "hexose"
then the F-G-G becomes: "frugal glue" or FRU-GAL-GLU
which of course are: fructose, galactose and glucose
6 functional proteins:
remember: HA-HA-FE
which are: hormones, antibodies, hemoglobin, actin & myosin, fibrinogen, enzymes
Anyone care to contribute?

This is funny, but when I was learning the bones in anatomy, I made up different names for them to help me. For our test our prof. would pull a bone out of a bag and we had to write down what it was. I used things like Tyrantasaurus Tibia, to help me remember it was really big. Sounds silly, but it helped.

If you check the website thread there are a couple of websites dedicated to mnemonics
Hey! These are really great!
I've been to a couple of mnemonics sites (medicalmnemonics.com, and another one listed in my fav's) but for the most part the content of those are to vast for A&P 1.
Anyone else have any????
Keep up the hard work fellow A&Pers!
