I recieved my letter of acceptance to an RN program today (YAY!) I start in January of 06. I have a couple of questions for the current students:
1) Do you work? How many hours?
2) How do you prioritize?
I'm asking these questions because I failed after one semester of an LPN program last fall and I don't want to make the same mistake again. The only difference this time, I will be working where the last time I didn't. I just want to find out how everybody else does it without going crazy so I can get some ideas.
Thanks!

Congrats!!! How great you must feel! I can't answer any of your questions, since I still have about 22 days left till I find out if I made it!

Congrats.
I would work the minimum amount you need to get the bills paid.
I don't know about prioritizing, just don't get behind whatever you do. Don't procrastinate. Good luck!

Congrats on your accomplishment!!!
Prioritizing is learned based on the situations and experiences you encounter. You will be doing lots of prioritizing in school. It's the start of your training.
Good luck!!!

Congrats to you all!!
You can do it, and just don't get behind. Think of the thousands before you that have made it and know that you can too.
Thanks! I'm like Jess, could be anyday after Nov 1st, but could be as late as November 15th (or later!) Hoping to get "The Phone Call"

Congrats!!!! You start really soon, I bet you are excited!!!
I don't work but I still prioritize..what I did that worked well for me was sit down once a week and go through all my syllabi and mark down what is due each week, then I made my own schedule for each day and put what I wanted to get accomplished that day, ie. Monday-read a chapter of med surg, start researching for my pharm paper and do questions in the study guide for health assessment...I also had a calender that I printed offline in my binder that I could write when everthing was due, that way I would know what big things were coming up....Its all about being organized and keeping up...whatever you do, dont get behind!!!
Gooooooddd luck and congrats again:)
Good luck to all of you guys who are still waiting too...oohh the suspense:)
