Hi, I need to interview a registered nurse for a class and write a paper on it, but I don't know anyone. So if any registered nurses can help me answer these questions, I'll really appreciate it. Thanks.

1. How long have you been a registered nurse?

2. How long have your worked in this area?

3. In what area of nursing do you currently work?

4. Why did you choose to become a nurse?

5. What are the most rewarding aspects of this job?

6. What is the most frustrating aspect of your work?

7. Do you recommend nursing as a career? Why or why not?

8. What suggestions do you have for people beginning a career in nursing?

And also some background information like these questions, or anything else you want to add.

3. Do you only have a degree as a registered nurse?

4. What do you do on a daily basis in your job?

We have seen this same set of questions previously from other students posting their first post for homework help. It's difficult to believe you don't know anyone.

RNs are at your doctor's office, the public health department and likely the nursing school you plan to go to. Interview does not mean for us to write you paper/the answers for you. Go interview--face to face--a nurse. You are a college student! Think about how/where you can find a nurse.

I'm certain your instructor wants you to interview a nurse in your local community. You will not be able to verify any of our credentials or even know for sure if anyone who responds to you is really a licensed nurse. People pretend to be whatever they want to be when hiding behind the cloak of anonymity.

In-person interviews are crucial for building a professional network, sharpening your interpersonal skills, and reaching out to people in real life. This is just some food for thought. Good luck to you!

I would reconsider the phrasing on that question if I were you.

As other posters have stated, people can falsify their identity pretty easy on line. For instance, I am a rescue ninja, or a unicorn. Your pick.

As PP's have suggested you probably need to get out in your community. There's no way for you to know if our answers are even true online.

Ideas of where to find nurses:

1. Local hospital - they should have nurse educators or maybe a nurse manager who would have a few minutes to talk with you

2. Your old high school or elementary school will have a school nurse available who might be willing

3. Ask your friends and family if they have other friends or family who are nurses. Chances are they do. We are the largest workforce in the country

4. Call YOUR doctor's office. Maybe one of the nurse's would be willing to talk to you

I'm a Registered Rescuer of Unicorn Rescue Ninjas. (R.R.U.R.N.). I'm waiting for my first official rescue but am standing by in case RNsRWe needs assistance.
