Hi all! I just had to share - had my second OB clinical today and my patient delivered! She was induced this am so I wasn't very optimistic that I'd get to see the delivery but wow - she dilated so quickly that we were in there pushing before you knew it! It was amazing and beautiful! What a miracle!

Okay, I won't rant on and on, but I'm really stoked, if you couldn't tell! :p

Celebration!! I remember observing in the delivery room and doing my clinical in the nursery.

Way to go!!! It's amazing to watch a new life come into this world, isn't it? I can't wait until 3rd semester for that. I was fortunate to see my niece & nephew born a few years ago. It is just amazing!

No talking about delivering babies right now, lol! I am not allowed to get my brain thinking there. Anyhow, congrats! I am sure that was amazing.

I did! This was a much wanted baby for a really neat family and to see/feel all the emotion surrounding this birth...wow! I looked at the mom and she looked at me and we both teared up. Even the nurse had tears! There was a lot of history behind this family and this baby so the arrival was very very emotional and wonderful! It was one of those families where you think to yourself "wow, if anyone "deserves" kids, it's them!" If only all births could be that wonderful for everyone involved!!

I remember my first birth too. Quite an experience when you're on the other side (a lot less painful...:D)
