Go to http://cwx.prenhall.com/bookbind/pubbooks/kozier/ and click on chapter 22 for the chapter on growth and development. On the left you'll see where you can take a practice NCLEX style quiz.
I hope this helps.
My best advice is to look through the test before you start answering questions. Circle and mark any question that has the word BEST, ALL, or EXCEPT, especially the word except. When you go through the questions you will be less likely to misread the question if you do that. I swear my first semester the first three tests I missed at least one question on each test for not seeing the word except. It's a common mistake from what my other classmates said too.
That's all I can think of at the moment.

They are in my Growth and Development class and also in my Fundamentals class. Does anyone have any tips for me?
I also have a skills check-off on Wednesday over hand washing and sterile gloving. Any thoughts?
Thanks so much :)
My advice for your fundies would be to make sure you read your questions very very carefully, leave enough time to go back and check your answers, and relax the day before the test and the day of the test.
I just had my check off last Wednesday and it wasn't that bad. Take your time and think about what you're doing....and don't let the instructors intimidate you, they were once in your shoes. Just do the best that you can. Good Luck!
Good advice from the posters above, review your chapters and notes and take some practice quizzes. I remember being VERY hung up on the sterile gloves thing --- grab a pair from somewhere, even if it's dishwashing gloves, cuff them up like the sterile ones, and practice putting them on. Makes the real thing go much easier. Also, this link might be helpful to you regarding the gloves:

Good luck on your test! :)
When you get the test in front of you, RELAX!! I never freak out before a test, or else i will get so nervous i will forget everything and my mind goes blank. I have learned to think positive thoughts and relax while taking my tests. I do pretty well. Never get anything less than an 85%! Besides, there is no use in freaking out with the test in front of you. You know what you know. Just study well and trust in your ability to recall info that you learned.
