For Fun - Things You Want to Buy Once You're a Nurse

Ok, I know we should be frugal after we graduate and invest in retirement, pay off debt and student loans, etc. However, for a little fun, what kinds of things do you look forward to buying after you graduate and are working as a nurse?

For me: a Dyson vacuum cleaner ($500) and a set of NARS blushes ($200), the best blush on the planet. I've also been fixated on buying a Mini Cooper:

I suspect I'll buy the Dyson and NARS, but the Mini Cooper may just not be a good financial choice.

So what do you all want to buy?

Now that I'm a nurse, I find myself paying bills and making sure my children have a little extra. So far not much fun, but I keep dreaming!

I want to:

Responsible first:

Pay off our 2 CC's

Pay off my student loans

Pay off my car

Less responsible for the kids:

Buy an awesome swingset

Redo their bedrooms

Get them both a powerwheels

Buy them a horse they could ride

For DH:

Buy him a new truck

Buy a tractor

Buy more cattle

Get him a horse he can ride

Buy him a skidsteer

Make corals and get a chute so we can work the cattle

Get some project vehicles he can tinker on

Get him a new large 4x4 fourwheeler

Me:

A whole body left including lip, tummy tuck and a boob job (talk about being vain )

A new wardrobe

A real hair cut and color

New makeup picked out by a real makeup artist

For the fam:

New house that is a real new house

Land, 40 acres or more would be preferrable

A vacation...a real one that includes an airplane!

New furniture

Now, I realize that probably not even half of that will ever happen but it's nice to dream!!! :-)

In school I hear the car one a lot... I'm in love with my old jeep, I think even after I graduate I'll just fix it up a little more.

I like my Toyota 4runner too! It's not that old, I'll drive it until the wheels fall off and then go get a new one!

Responsible Me = pay off cc, school loans, save up for a house and start thinking about baby # 2 :)

Unresponsible Me = new clothes for both me and my husband, family vacation, and a kick @#$ Christmas

A little house or a doublewide, maybe a piece of land, and my daughter a horse...I was always promised one and my mama could never afford one and I AM going to get my daughter one! I just want me and my kids to live comfortably without having to worry how we are going to survive from week to week...I also want a fairly new vehicle, most like a Honda Accord or Civic.
