I'm holding all positive thoughts for you!!!!! You'd be suprised how many people drop...some get into other schools, some move, some just decide they can't do it, or don't want to do it...

I know 2 wait listers who got in last year!

I was just going to say the same thing. I was actually one that didn't accept a place in the LPN program. I actually applied for both an LPN spot and an RN spot in another program. I was accepted to both. My first choice was the RN program so I took that. When I went for my interview at the LPN school I was told that there was a high drop out rate. While I was interviewing one person didn't show up for her interview. Please let us know if you get in. If your not selected for this year will you be first up next year? Or will you take the test over?

I got into the RN program because someone dropped out. IT worked out for me, dont be surprised if it works out for you!!

Hi! I was accepted into an LPN program the last two semesters and dropped both times because my goal is to be accepted into the ADN program. If I dont get into the ADN, then at least my file is complete and I can go LPN, then bridge. So, just wanted to encourage you that there are LOTS of people who drop before the semester begins for many different reasons! Have an alternate plan, but dont discount that you may be in the program this fall. I am prepared either way for the fall, ya know? Good luck to you!!

I actually got accepted to 2 BSN programs from a wait list!! One of the schools (the one i'm going to) didn't even tell me I was on a wait list, so it was a complete shock when I received a letter offering me a spot. Don't give up hope, anything can happen!! A lot of people apply to more than one school, and wait listed people often get slots because of that fact. Best of luck. :cool:

Thanks everyone for the nice words. I am keeeping my spirits up and hoping for the best. I do have my second choice school to hear from in mid July. I will not automatically be on the top next year. This school goes by points for the general classes you complete and the grades you get in them. Once I take my Anatomy this fall I would have a minimum score of 31 so I will get in next year since the most you can get is 44 and most people actually end up in the 25-28 range. I'll let you know what happens and Thanks again.

I was a stand-by student too. I had the grades but it was a first come first serve basis. I bet there were at least 5 people that dropped out of a class of 40 that entered. So I got in a spot. So many things happen. Transfers, daycare, etc. So hang in there. I was so happy when I got the news. Just remember though things happen for a reason. So just hang in there.

I didn't even know that my school had a waiting list until the day I took my entrance exam. I was on the waiting list, because it is first come first served, but 5 people didn't pass their entrance exam, so I got in.
