Hey everybody!

It's that time again.....finals! I was feeling very overwhelmed and I asked a nurse who had already graduated from the program Im in how she studied for finals, she said a good tip is start like three weeks before the final day. Ok, got that, the instructor said study the powerpoints, I dont trust her though. Does anyone have any suggestions??

I constantly review the lecture exams, last semester the teacher posted a final review that was more like a scavenger hunt thru the text and previous exams lol but it helped alot and I passed with flying colors, hoping she posts one this semester as well, I've already been reviewing for almost 2 weeks now and the final is the 26th, even tho the final questions were different as long as you can understand the actual concepts covered in the previous exams you'll be fine

Recite the material over and over until you feel you understand it. Then teach yourself the material without looking at the notes. If you can't teach yourself, then you should study it again.

Repetition always worked best for me.

Rewrite important things over again in a notebook, making sure to write kind of big and space them out. This makes it much better and easier to learn rather tan looking at the tiny font of a powerpoint!

I'd suggest you keep doing whatever it is you've been doing if you have been passing to this point.

We were given a breakdown of the final that tells us exactly how many points will be from each section we have studied this semester. That at least helps guide us on the areas to concentrate on. Hopefully you'll receive something like that. I'd suggest just review and review and review...if you read the texts previously, that's usually not necessary again. Go over your notes, emphasizing the areas that you know you're weak in.

And best wishes to us all!!

Our teachers recommend using these books they gave out in the beginning of each semester called "ATI" books. They pretty much summarize each concept that we have learned. If you don't have those books, I would recommend going back over all of your notes and focusing on the main concpets. Our final is 100 questions cumulative so our teachers insist that they will not test on minuta (i think i spelled that wrong). Good luck!

Our final is next week and I have a study partner. We each make up sample "test" questions from the power points and e-mail them to each other to study from. After each exam, I highlighted specific info from our sample tests that were on the real tests to remind me what to study for the final. Our final is comprehensive so I've been going over all of the sample tests we made.
