Ok Guys... Now it's my turn to vent. Just got back from my English class and I'm sitting in front of my computer working on my research paper that is due tomorrow......... I need 300 more words, a conclusion, outline and works cited page..... That means I will be up till 2 am again tonight.

Have to wake up early and go to work tomorrow..... to top it off..... I just got another writing assignment that is also due tomorrow.......

and NOW the kids football and cheerleading coaches call to tell me practice starts Mon. 6-8pm...... I go to class right now from 6-8..... Hubby starts freaking out because he works midnights and is home with the kids all day while I work..... He is now going to have to take the kids to their practices until I start my next semester...... in which I can take them and he has to pick them up...... WHEN IS HE GOING TO REST HE ASKS? I told him not to worry maybe I can find another parent to bring the kids home from practice... PLUS My son..... has a habit of starting something and not wanting to finish it..... We told him since he wanted to do this. he is going to play the whole season,, and LIKE IT.... he better not even pout for one second or say he doesn't want to go to practice..... That's what's really aggravating my husband also.. is that he is probably going to have to deal with nonsense from my son!

don't know I'm just rambiling now..... I just feel so much pressure........

I know that God doesn't give usanything that we can't handle, I 'm just so tired... and I know it's not going to get any easier.

b_matt, you must feel overwhelmed right now to put it mildly. eng. comp was a pain, you can do it, just concentrate tonight on the paper. car pooling is a good idea to help your husband out.

sorry i'm not much help, my eng comp ii instructor was very picky, she had a phd yet to boot.

grammer and spellcheck were a blessing !

good luck

I can't even imagine doing all the things you're talking about simultaneously!!! You're Super Woman for sure....

This isn't usually my style but... having lived a few years I've finally come to the conclusion that with assignments such as your English paper... do a good job on it, but don't spend the night killing yourself over it. In all the years since I graduated Nursing School... I have yet to EVER say to myself.."If only I had aced that paper, (project, whatever)...." Do what you need to in order to pass (or earn whatever gpa you need to fulfill requirements). You'll pass...

Peace:)

Stephany, Lori and Marie.....Thanks for responding and YES sometimes you just need to vent! As Scarlet O'Hara once said "Tomorrow is another day" or something like that! Now back to writing my paper. I only need 200 more words now!

Brenda, I know EXACTLY where you're at. I am an LPN student at the Toledo School of Practical Nursing in Toledo,Ohio. The past 3 months have been a living hell for me. First on Memorial Day weekend my father has a mild heart attack. He's fine now but on a ton of meds which does NOT make him a happy man. He's constantly after his cardiologist to reduce the number of meds he has to take. Well, 3 weeks after that, my mom was admitted to the hospital with acute respiratory failure. She was on a vent for 3 days and in ICU for eight days. Then step-down ICU then transitional care unit. Add to the fact that this all happened on finals week of my 3rd level rotation. I managed to do well for the quarter thank God,but man it was hard. And this is not even the end of this saga. Then my mom suffered from big time confusion. It was awful. She finally comes home after 3 weeks in the hospital, Then we had to deal with the terrible wounds on her feet. Thank the Lord Mercy Home Care came out to do her wound care. THEN, after being home for 10 days guess what happens? You got it,she had to be readmitted to the hospital due to sepsis and extremely low BP 63/37. She is now suffering from the confusion again and I am terrified as to what could be causing it. Oh by the way, It's 8 weeks to graduation. So BELIEVE ME BRENDA I FEEL YOUR PAIN. Believe me I do. I've wanted to give up so many times I've lost count. But God WILL gat you thru this. If I didn't believe it I wouldn't be here. I'll be praying for you my friend. Feel free to pm me anytime to talk. My shoulders are BIG. Hold on girl. Warrior Woman.

How kind of you to encourage others while in the middle of all this yourself.

May God bless you and comfort you!

My solution would be to make your husband write the paper, you work on the bibliography, have him drop the kids off after dropping you at school, give the kids money for ice cream and you pick them up on your way home. And let hubby know that if he can write a decent paper, or recopy your scribbled notes, or go photocopy your list of articles, you will be happy to give him the day off of his least favorite household chore.

And for afterschool activities I was allowed to pick just one, but could do more if I could find a reliable drive with a friend, so maybe your kids could help out too.

Here's hoping your stress level comes down before school starts-good luck.
