Our finals for Monday include, Theory, Pharm, and Trends. Wish me luck. It hard to study for finals, since we have covered so much material. Any tips?

Wishing you lots of luck on your finals! Next week is finals week for me. I should really be studying right now, but instead....I'm here on allnurses!

Once again good luck...the only tip I can give you is to study as much as possible :)

I do my last A&P exam... no final, per se... on Monday. It will be 160 questions on human reproduction and genetics! So, yes... I AM STUDYING this weekend.

I have an explicit study guide to use, so I will be highlighting that and commiting it to memory. On Sun, my dh and I will go for coffee and he will test me. His favorite test was when I had to name the anatomical parts for that chapter... he loves it when I talk scientific to him! ;)

Good luck all! The semester's almost over!!!

I've made flashcards on EVERYTHING throughout the semester! By making them (and coming up with questions to prompt myself to learn the answers) and then by continually studying them (I have friends quiz me with them), I have pre-done material to study for the cumulative final.

Not to toot my own horn, but because of this technique, I have a 95% in A&P II and I don't have to take the final (which is next week).

I find flashcards very helpful due to the sheer volume of information we're required to remember. Plus, you can carry flashcards with you anywhere!

3 x 5 index cards don't cut it! I use 5 x 8 index cards now. You can even copy and paste graphics and charts to flashcards for extra reinforcement of the material!

Good luck everyone! Just a little longer and we're done for the semester!

Good luck to us all. I have my final on Monday it covers med administration, perioperative care, wound care, urinary and gastro systems and care, teaching, development, fluids and electrolytes, oxygenation, and a little more. This sucks. I did pretty well this semester so I just need a 61 out of 100 to pass. Just think we could be celebrating Monday afternoon !!!!!

All I have left is my pharm final on Monday. It would be so great if I could actually get myself to sit down and open the darn book!!!

It's amazing how much you can get done around the house at test time!!! :specs:

Good luck to everyone!

I am trying soooooo hard to study today, but we went Olive Garden earlier & now I'm stuffed like a pig. I can hardly motivate myself today! The last 2 days we had an NCLEX review & I think that may have fried my brain!!!!!! :)

Really good tip for a finals...Get a good nights sleep the night before. Don't stay up all night trying to cram. You'll be so exhausted that you won't remember anything. Get that sleep and thats an order!!

Good luck everyone!! Berta

I had my final last Tuesday....so no more studying for me this semester.

Good luck to all of you...I know how hard it is to stay motivated. Definitely get enough rest...that is more important than studying. If you are sleep deprived, your brain won't work right. :)

Toot your horn all you want for getting good grades!! I do the same thing with flashcards, I use them for every subject from Anatomy to Math (I write out the formulas, etc) and I think it one of the reasons I do so well in school myself. Plus they are so easy to do and like you said you can take them with you anywhere! I keep 2 sets for some classes (one in my school bag and another in my purse) so I always have something to sudy wherever I am.

But I am glad this semester is almost over, I need a break! LOL

I have made big flow charts in different colours with the info I need (like the chain of reaction in astma) and have taped them up all over the place .. kitchen.. bathroom .. etc ... Hubby says it´s fine as long as I don't put any on the bedroom ceiling :blushkiss
