Has anyone received notification about whether or not they got an 07-08 HRSA Nursing Scholarship yet? (I know it says late-september)

If you are on the first funding tier has your file been reviewed? Mine says no review has been done on it yet and I turned everything in on time. I have already called the folks at HRSA and they just said wait...

Thank You,

Father Tod

I have applied and met the first funding preference and have not heard anything from them yet either and I have called them several times hoping that I will get someone ... anyone that will say sopmething to me besides "you can expect to hear from us anytime between now and Sept. 30th if you get the scholarship and until the end of October if you did not..." The waiting is annoying and I have used up all my patience... if you hear anything or if your status changes please let me know.

I called a few weeks after everything was due and spoke to a guy that said all my info was received. He also said at that time that notifications were coming out within a week or two, even though the website said differently. That was quite some time ago. But I saw two different notification dates when applying, both for recipients. Either way, I still haven't heard anything, yet. I was wondering if anyone else had, that's how I found your post. Where did you see that your application hadn't received a review? After the deadline I wasn't able to access my personal page anymore. Good luck!

I am also waiting for award notification:lol2: Good luck to all who have applied.

I just received an email from HRSA stating that although final selections have not been made, I should print out the forms that they attached have them filled out by my school and my financial institution for payments to be made and have them faxed back to them by Sept 7. I was at school when I received the email, so you know I literally ran to the business ofiice to have them fill out the form because they only gave a two day deadline to return. What's next? I have no idea, all I can do is pray on it. Did anyone else receive a similar email yet? Wish me luck and good luck to yuou all.

I have also received that email. It should only be a matter of days until we all find out I suppose. Good luck...:lol2:

I just got it, too. But I do not understand the forms at all!! Help!

I just called the Call Center about the forms. The lady I spoke with said everyone with 1st perference received them. I mentioned to her that there was nowhere on the Payment Information FORM for me to fill out information linking it to my account. She said they had just noticed that, and decided that you should write your name on the bottom of this form. She didn't have an answer when I asked "what if" someone else has the same name. So I would suggest your social or address or school, something else to identify you. The school should select themselves as the Vendor. The signature on this form isn't for us, either, but for the school. Also, on the Payment Information REPORT, select yourself as the Contractor. She said if the school had any questions, they could contact the Call Center. Good luck!

Well, I never recieved that email with the payment information that people are refering to.

I called the HRSA call center and they told me that I am not in first-preference funding level anymore and wouldn't provide information as to why or how this changed.

My efc is 0 and I am a full-time student in an ADN (associates) nursing program. I submitted everything on time (including the supplimental documents)

Any one had this problem as well?

Father Tod,

Have you looked again at the bulletin? I would reread eligibility requirements and first preference funding requirements and make sure you fit all of them. If you still don't see why, I'd call back. Each person I talk to tells me something different. The guy I spoke with yesterday when I called back was a bit too laid back. He didn't consult anything or anyone in answering my questions. He looked at the forms and made his own guesses, and he made it obvious that that's what HE thought. He was joking around a bit too much, too. They're obviously not very organized, as there were many mistakes on the forms and instructions that were so hastily sent out. It does concern me a bit. Then they re-sent the forms with a slight change (which didn't correct everything), and forgot to attach the changed file, so they had to send it again... I could go on and on. Does anyone know anyone who's received the scholarship? Are all their interactions and paperwork so informal and unorganized? Is this two day deadline a weeding out process or something?

I also spoke to a woman at the HRSA Call Center today and was told I have an extension to fax over those two forms because we have to get our school's BANK to sign the "authorizing official" signature line. So you need to have your school send that form out to their actual bank who will send back that form to your school the following week. For instance, my school sends bank slips out tuesdays and fridays 1300, and since I will drop it off tomorrow, I won't have it filled out completely and sent back to the school for my pickup until 1300 next tuesday; well past the 7th of September due date. Good luck everyone...

I thought I met all the 1st funding preferences, unless there are also 1st preference guidelines that are not publically known let alone published.

This is becoming a real hassle, not to mention a downer as well. I guess I'll just sacrifice a herd of goats and chickens to the HRSA nursing scholarship gods and then go dance around a fire in order to hopefully qualify for this thing.

Then I'll fedex them my first and third born children, in order to appease them.

Thanks again for all your help, I'll leave it in jesus's hands after I call them again friday. May the power of christ compell them to give me a scholarship.
