I'm in pre-nursing and I decided to do a BSN because I love learning about different diseases/conditions, physiology, and patho :) I hope to become an NP. I know it sounds super selfish, but I didn't really decide on nursing because I want "to help people". I just love learning about medicine so much! How about you?

Specializes in ED, med-surg, peri op.

I honestly don't know. I've always wanted to be a nurse, since I was a child, but can't say why. I never know what to say when I get asked.

I do find it very interesting, and I'm very passionate about it. But no it wasn't to help people and be that selfless person people imagine nurses to be. But I do find it very rewarding when you get to see some going home whose health has dramatically improved and benefited from you being there.
