I'm a new nurse, and want to be the best nurse I can be! haha ..... I know that takes time. Anyway, I just want to know what nursing journal will aid me in keeping up to date and refreshed on my practice.

I've found some pretty good basic review type articles in Nursing 2009. My favorite is still Journal of Emergency Nursing.

i subscribe to medscape.com, which is a free online resource that collates recently-published journal articles across a wide range of specialies. every week i get an email (medpulse) in each of my subscribed categories - i subscribe to nursing, nephrology, transpantation, neurology, hiv/aids and week in review. each email has links to articles and brief summaries about each one, grouped by specialty (in the non-specialised pulses).
every week's nursing medpulse include top stories (most read), an editorial note (the editor's an rn, phd), featured articles, journal scans, news, and useful articles by category. a random sampling of articles sent this week included:

i like that i can skim over the topics and read what interests me, that it's online (so no paper), and that it's free. medscape access way more journals than i'd ever make my way through on my own!
