All those things that you can only do on the weekends.

If you are talking in terms of a work package, and not travel:
Should be 12 hour shifts x2, pay for 36 hours, and full-time benefits.
This used to be called the Baylor Plan, and if you can get one, go for it.
Usually shifts were Friday and Saturday nights, or Sat and Sunday nights,
    or Saturday and Sunday days.

    Hope that this helps..................

I did a weekend special once but quit because they cancelled me which was not supposed to happen. I suggest that you get in writing that your weekend rate and hours are quaranteed so you won't be cancelled for the premium pay and then have administration try to reschedule you for a lesser paying shift.

In my institution, if you sign a contract agreeing to work 7 out of every eight weekends, you get a 20 per-cent differential when you work your weekend shifts. Days off would just be on the weekdays, and no more that 6 (?) weekends off a year.

Also, my Dept. offers no call to those that do the weekend thing (O.R.).
