How often do nurses have sex in the hospital?

I read on the forum that while it's forbidden for a nurse to have sex with their patient, I haven't seen anything about having sex with other nurses, doctors, visitors, etc. Does it actually happen as often as it does on TV shows? Not asking whether it's wrong or not, just whether it happens.

:redlight: Seriously??? I've worked in a hospital for 20 years. It is usually not the nurses having sex, it's housekeeping & dietary (and on those rare occasions, administration). Those positions are usually filled by younger, non-professional staff. A direct care patient nurse has very little time for anything extra, let alone sexual activities. This is a continued sexist belief. Physicians / Residents / Interns are another story. Where some facilities continue w/ double bunking of staff (either male or female) and the expectation is to be there for > 24, and a bed is provided, yes, sexual activity is much more prevelent among house staff.

Boy ! ! If there are nurses out there who have time for that sort of recreational activity during their shift when the majority of us may not get time for either a trip to the bathroom or a lunch break then I'd like to meet them......and then I'd make sure that they were not assigned to my care because I'd know where their focus of interest would be.

For those of you who think it's a Grey's Anatomy or Nurse Jackie reality only, you're kidding yourself. I work night shift in a hospital where there are many dark places where cameras are NOT located. These people are smart and know every corner they can do it. I'm speaking co-worker with co-worker (techs, nurses, docs, maintenance, pharmacy, etc.) I think for the most of us, we are too busy, but we all know co-workers that are there for a paycheck only and are off the floor more than they are on it. Complain to management and you're the bad guy so what the heck!
