How long will it take for the State Board of Nursing to decide when I can test?

I got a DUI 4 years ago, and one 7 years ago. I am sending in all the info they've asked for, plus paperwork from an alcohol class I took, plus 2 letters of reference...one from the alcohol counselor and another from a lawyer. They should have all the information needed.

All they tell me is it may take a little longer than the others because the "board" has to review and decide on it.

Has anyone else went through this? How long did it take? I'm starting to get concerned......

Hi Julie! what state? Have you called your State Board of Nursing on this? I sure would without delay. They will be able to answer this question, I imagine, better than anyone here can. I wish you the best of luck. let us know how it turns out!

no, i have not personally gone through this. i just wanted to tell you to keep the faith! have you call the board to inquire? let us know what happens and how you are too.

Hey guys~

I just checked with the Board.

Either they will want to see me in person, so I can interview with them, or I will receive a letter with permission to test.

The lady said I should hear something in a couple of weeks after I submit my paperwork....

Wish me luck on this...

paperwork should be going in tomorrow or Thursday....
