Yesterday, a friend that I have only had the priveledge to know less than a month, was killed along with her 10yr old daughter, when a tractor trailer ran a red light. She was a wonderful nurse and mother of five. Her family needs some prayers today.

Thank-You

Now I pray for the wonderful nurse and her family

My prayers are with your friend, as well as you, to help you cope with this terrible tragic situation.

Blessings,

Jo

Y2KRN... my prayers to you and the family of your friend.

May I add a prayer to a family, devasted by an accident near Reno this week. A drunk driver, going the wrong direction on the highway, hit head on a family... killing 4 children, a mother and leaving another mother and child in ICU here. Prayers too, for the 40+ rescue workers who had to deal with the horrific carnage they witnessed.

Y2K, this may sound strange, but as I was reading your post, the song "With Arms Wide Open" by Creed came on the radio. As I read what you shared, and listened to the words of that song (one of my favorites), a peaceful feeling was in the air here. The song is about a father welcoming his child. In my heart, as I listened and read, those words became representative (to me) of God welcoming his children home. It is such a sad thing to hear of this loss - but one can imagine the profoundness of what is in store for your beautiful friend and her precious daughter now.

I'll keep you and her family in my prayers. Take care and God bless you.

Absolutely! What an awful thing. Heaven has 2 more angels...

Your friends are in my prayers and thoughts this day. What a horrible tragedy that was! So incredibly senseless! May they rest in perfect peace eternally! Amen! :kisses:

I'm so sorry for your loss. I will of course pray for your friend, her family and for you. I lost my son almost 5 years ago, and there are two lines from the Amidah which I find comforting: "He makes the rain to fall and the wind to blow .... I hear His voice in the rustling of the leaves". I am also passing along a website that is for those of us who grieve. http://www.journeyofhearts.org.

Sending heart-felt prayers and good thoughts to you and your friend's family. Find comfort in your memories & know that you are being remembered in many thoughts & prayers. God bless.
