The crisis in nurse staffing and emerging nursing shortage has been on the front page of papers nationwide for the past few months, particularly during this past week's celebration of National Nurses Week. Front page headlines of the NY Times on April 9, 2001 gave Registered Nurses and the staffing crisis page one coverage.

jt, thanks for the post. When I read the topic I was all ready to voice my opinion on the portrayal of nurses in the media. What a refreshing thing to see it is about REAL nurses and the desperate situation health care is in.
