Umm I think I read that same story in "Gone with the Wind " part II (forget the real name of book) Scarlett gave herself a C/S on the kitchen table.

I have no doubt that the article and journal are legit... but who's to say that the story is... but who knows -- perhaps only that poor woman in Mexico...

i cracked up at the part where she "downed three glasses of hard liqour". i guess sometimes drinking when you're pregnant is ok. :chuckle

Neither do I. There are some facts missing here. I mean, if she had her child call the nurse, why didn't SHE do it in the first place? The nurse probably would have known what to do.
The story just doesn't sit right with me for some reason. Like someone else said, "Don't believe everything you read."
Covering my own tail, if this did in fact happen, my apologies to the lady - you are truly an amazing woman. I could not have done it.
