Is this a test question? Are you a student?
its just a practice question. and yes im a student
Your initial rate is usually weight based and then titrated according the blood glucose.
The rate is easily determined because the concentration is one unit per ml.

What do you have so far? We will be happy to help, but not do the work FOR you.
PS: You seem to be missing part of the question
yes i was confused because this question did not provide a blood glucose. So can i do anything?
No. This is not a valid question unless you have a blood glucose or a specific order for x units per kg per hour.

You only have part of the question. You HAVE to know what the most recent blood glucose is to be able to dose.

I'm guessing they meant to make that weight a blood glucose, as in his blood glucose is currently 226 mg/dl.
2/100×100=2ml/hr. The drip contains 1 unit/ml
