Encouragement....I studied so hard.I knew the material pretty well.I rushed on one question and changed about 3 questions that were right the first time! This was the 1st for the semester .It was probably a easy 100 since I heard the tests usually get harder and harder! Right? Im soo mad right now!!! I also answered some partially! I knew the other half , but didn't think they should have been included! Im soo mad rigtht now.Thank-God he went over the test ;I would have been up for a good surprise later on.Now I know not to over-estimate myself;I could have sworn I got a 90......I would be surprised if I got a 75%...... (sigh)........ :uhoh21:
I can not lie to you. It is true, this failure on your part ruins your dreams of ever becoming a nurse!:mortarboard:
Whoa, Alpha13. I hope you write back soon to explain this joke.
Rnsoon, I agree with all the encouragement you've received here. It's tough when we don't make as good a grade as we think we should, but we also learn from each experience. That will help us become good nurses, too. And as the previous post says, never change an answer, unless you made a mistake and mark the wrong one. I've been told that by more than one instructor, and it's held true. Hang in there! We're all in this together.
though reading alphas comments may seem rude, I detect sarcasm in the satement. One exam will not ruin your chances at being a nurse. If anything it gives you more of a push to study harder.
Glad someone saw it :wink2: I guess I should have added a at the end. But ya there are a million of these "OMG I need a shoulder to cry on threads" and the title of this one finally compelled me to post. You guys are like a sea of estrogen that is slowly drowning me

Alpha13, this comment won't earn you any brownie points, either (unless you actually bake us brownies). Better stop while you're ahead! :kiss
Don't be too hard on yourself. Now you know to study harder..
The publisher of my A&P text book has a website that has flash cards, labeling, and practice tests per chapter. I would go on it atleast 4/5x a week and spend an approx. hr on it. It helped me a lot.... Perhaps your text book has a website as well. Good luck!!!
Don't beat yourself up over it... pick yourself up, brush yourself off, and be determined to do better next time! :)
One thing that I have learned is not to go back and change answers - because I have found out the hard way that your first instinct is usually the right one!
Hang tough ((((hugs))))

Okay-
You are in good company. I must screw up my first test in every class. In my A/P class, I got a D on my first test if that makes you feel any better. My first nursing test I got a C. I am a 3.8 or higher type of student, and I am ALSO guilty of changing answers. I study and know the material, we just tend to be nervous- we don't know the instructor's style. If you study it well, you will know it well.
It's hard not to be a twisted ball of nerves when you want something so bad. I understand completely. I was just scraping my self esteem off the sidewalk as it dropped after getting a "c" on my test- I knew the subject and doubted myself.
*ahhh*
It'll get better. We are our own worst enemy.
Chill...
