I am writing an APA paper on Nursing Salary and Beneifits, but before I would ask the questions on here...I want to make sure it is appropriate. Thanks!

1. NO! But I always had a thing for guts and gore.

2. $9.05

3. 27 yrs. Ten as per diem.

4. $33.52--days, time and a half for any OT.

Holy COW@ 9.05.... That's just insane! It amazes me anytime folks do this survey. The trends across the country vary drastically..... I'd like a copy of the research paper.. haha. (I'm not a nurse yet, just a jr nursing student, so I can't participate in the survey).

I always hated those APA papers--had to do 1 every semester...Wish you much luck with yours :

1) always wanted to be a nurse, finally went to nursing school at age 45---was a med tech for 18 years first because I could get into the program easier

2) started at $25.75

3)been a nurse for 2years and 5 months

4) 26.75 get time and 1/2 for OT, $3.oo for the hours of 4-7pm as differential and $5.00 for overnight differential

5) work on a med/surg floor that takes, dirty wounds, GI stuff, Detox patients and other stuff that doesn't fit on tele. work in southern NJ the garden state;)

1. was salary a major contirbution of why you went into nursing? not really. i was a single parent and really looking more for a profession i knew i could find a job in after i graduated.

2. what was your starting salary? my first lpn position paid $8/hr. first rn position was $15/hr

3. how many years have you been a registered nurse? 8 years rn and lpn for 4 years before that

4. what is your salary now? $52,800/yr

5. what hospital/position do you work? i am a hospice case manager. i work in the field at patients homes and ltc facilities.
