Took the NCLEX-PN once. Hopefully that's all it will take to pass the NCLEX-RN.

Once and passed. Another oldie back in 1989, the 2 day test, ran to the mailbox every day until my results came!

Once--first class to get computerized test. 75 questions in 40 minutes. It was more logical, better written, and made more sense that all the exams in nursing school!

I did my 5000 practice questions, which included 3000 on my computer. I took Kaplan to "go over the top" on preparation. Kaplan recommended taking up to 2 minutes for the first 10 questions to get on track. A light went on in my head. I decided to take 2-3 minutes on EVERY question. The computer shut off at 75. Passed.

Once for the LPN test, and once for the RN, both minimum # of questions, but I know excellent nurses who have had to take it 3 times before passing, due to test anxiety. Just practice on a test cd or take a test prep course, you will do fine.

I agree. I took a lot of time with the first 75 questions because I wanted to shut down at 75. I do not do well with super long tests ... I just start to space out.
Anyway: passed the first time at 75.

I had to take it twice, I also am a horrilble test taker. I get very nervous & can't think straight. I am now in the process of the home course for RN, very hard with working 40 hrs plus a week any suggestions????
