We do team nursing. On our cardiac/renal floor on nights there are 18 patients split between 2 RNs, 2LPNs and 2 aids. So each team is an R, L, and CNA for 9 patients.
On days there are 4 RNs and 3 take 6 patients each but they have a separate charge that does not take patients.

Ooo, I'm jealous. While I've been on orientation & the few times I've been paired with the charge nurse who has 4:1 it was delightful!!

Tele floor, day shift, 1:5-6. Night shift takes the same. We get pretty sick patients so to have that many is interesting. Our charge nurse takes a full load as well.
