I am working on my RN degree.....I have all of my pre-req's completed and just need to get accepted into nursing school. Does anyone know of any hospitals that will pay for your nursing school in exchange for a contract after you get your degree? Or does anyone know of any grants available?

Any information that I could get would be great and really really appreciated! I am in Texas now, but have lived in Colorado and Alaska also.

Thanks!

Most schools will have scholarship information avaiable to you, I would check there first. Also, check the Sunday employment section and look at the Ads for nursing positions. Most hospitals will advertise their "tuition reimbursement" policy to attract employees such as youeself. Good Luck.

go to your state dept of health website. Some states have loan reimbursement programs in exchange for working with underserved populations.

I visited the financial aide office everyday for grants or scholarships that come up. I did receive a grant from a hospital in Corpus Christie and wentt back to work for them after school.

Sharona, can you give us any more details about the grant you received from Corpus Christi? I love the area, and any help with school is ExTrEmELy helpful! I know of a few places, one here in Waco (where I'm going to school) from Providence that offers $1600/6mo service contract. Also, Parkland in Dallas offers $2550/semester if you're an employee there. Oh how I wish I was an employee there :(
