Got a sunburn....

My chest and shoulders got burned.

I know, duh!

Dose anyone have a good concoction to prevent the inevitable peeling?

I use chilled aloe gel with lidocaine (ahhhhhhhhh), but is there something better?

For a blistered burn I wonder if there is something similar to a silvadene cream available over the counter?

I got sun today, too. Lotion, lotion, lotion! With aloe, if possible. I hope your burn isn't TOO bad...... :uhoh3:

I heard not to use lotion right after you get a burn because it holds the heat in causing further injury. My mom swears that by soaking washcloths in peppermint tea and applying them to the burn (cold, not hot :) ) that it will "pull the burn away".... :rotfl: I think that's kind of gross to have wet tea washcloths all over you so I like to just use aloe and a burn creme from a little burn first aide kit I got at the store. Icepacks also help (and feel nice..) but make sure to wrap them in a cloth before applying them directly to the burn. :p

Any wet cloth will do, it's just a wet 'compress'. Does make it feel better.

And find someone nice enough to constantly cool the cloths down and apply them to your back (makes it a lot more relaxing lol).
