"PT" means Physical Therapist. If you cannot bring yourself to type out "patient", the correct abbreviation is "pt".

It's LOSE your license, not "loose" your license. I've seen this one so often I'm starting to type "loose" myself.

"Needless to say" means it is so obvious that you don't even need to point it out. Why do people persist on using this when it is neither obvious or even remotely likely?

Why is "NETY" even still a thing?

I recently saw this in a NEWS ARTICLE published by a well known news outlet:

"Her and her daughter stated that they are now considering purchasing a firearm for their personal protection."

REALLY?!?!?!?!

Arggh!! Just as bad: I've saw 'alright' in an AP news story! I emailed AP and said 'alright' is NOT A WORD.

Of course, I meant to say 'I saw', not 'I've saw' :^).

This is not a grammatical error, but I detest the phrase, "if you will." My husband says this to me:sour:...and I feel like saying, "no, I won't."

Ha ha. What I always say out loud, if I hear someone being interviewed on the radio say that, is "If I will WHAT?".

English is a living language, so people being consistently wrong can actually make something right over time. All these people ya'll are complaining about are simply progressive.

Whatever, yo! :headphone:

O2 Stats is one of my favorites.

Its oxygen saturation, or SATS...not stats. Oy Vey

Ohh, here's a new one on me:

" it was just throwing me off how non shalont she was" (this person was also characterized as "very laxed.")

"Nonchalant" is from the French and means relaxed, easy-going. "Laxed" is from the advertisement, as in "I love my lax." I think.

How about "long road to hoe". It's "long ROW to hoe".,. Come on farmers.

Here on the ocean, we will occasionally say, "It's a long row," as in, rowboat.

Didn't you mean to say- "for the love of all that is Holly" ??
