I have a RNC-MNN certification, I no longer work full time in OB, however I do work full time as a nurse case manager in a whole new specialty. Currently I sign, Prnqday, BSN, RN. Is it necessary to add RNC-MNN? Just curious on what others do?

I only sign RN, regardless of where I'm working. I don't list my degree, nor certifications. What matters is that I am signing as a licensed, registered nurse. The rest is superfluous.

Specializes in Emergency/Cath Lab.

Only ever sign RN. Doesn't matter what it is I'm doing.

Specializes in OR, Nursing Professional Development.

I'm MSN, RN, CNOR. I only sign RN, and I do work in the OR. That's all that's legally needed. Am I proud of what I've accomplished and would like to display it on my badge? Yes, but I don't need to scribble it all over paperwork.

Thanks for all the replies. I agree, RN is the only thing matters.

Specializes in OB-Gyn/Primary Care/Ambulatory Leadership.

The only time I sign with a credential is when I am doing something lactation related, such as a consult with a mom. Then I will sign RN, IBCLC
