Hi,
Has anyone submited a declination form for the yearly flu vaccines and tdap as a nursing student and succeeded in Texas?

I'm trying to understand why you would refuse. You are entering the nursing field. You should at this point be educated enough about vaccines to know that we need them. If you do not want them, then you need to go into another line of work. To me it's hypocritical to work in the medical field and not get vaccinated.
I know several nurses who don't believe in vaccines and refuse them if possible. I won't give my opinion about that here.

Yep, me too. I do not find it hypocritical, depending on one's reasons.

If one hopes to enter the medical field, one must work WITH the program, not AGAINST it.
If you're planning to buck the rules before you're even accepted into the program, just walk away now. Find a profession that suits your sensibilities.
We will all be happier.
