I said it in another thread, but it bears repeating--Congratulations, Russell! It takes a big heart to adopt an older child. This will make such a difference in the life of this kid. I hope everything goes as smoothly as possible for you. Teeeeeeeee-rrific!:) :) :) :) :)

It sounds like Rusty had a wonderful weekend with his new son, after reading his note in another post. I think this is great news!!! It is so nice to hear something pleasant for a change. Way to go Rusty!!!

Thank you all for the good wishes and positive energy.
I have no doubt that this is going to be better than I imagined. We are getting along so well. I've heard a lot of things from co-workers and friends about how great it is of us to adopt, to help this child, but to me I'm feeling like this is also for us. He enhances my life and reminds me of the role model I am for my children. He brings to me the wonder that an 8 year old carrys. It is true that in some aspects he needs a bit of extra love but between the 4 of us I think we can deliver.
