Kayzee, I only have two clinic days under my belt (getting intermittent orientation in while I'm working out my notice at the hospital) but it's VERY clear that the stress level is way less. The particular role I'm in is going to be lots of education, very little in the way of procedures. These are college students, so by and large a very healthy population otherwise.

What type of clinic are you looking into?

Best thing about a clinic gig? No nights weekends or holidays!!

I worked clinic for a year and half and it was considerably less stress. It was stress, in its own right, but it was nice to work normal, set hours, without overtime, got a lunch, had fun co-workers, and had weekends and holidays free. I think it's one of the least stressful direct patient care jobs out there.
