Big News...And A Decision!!

Nurses General Nursing

I received my letter today from LPN school! From my other posts--you may already know that I have a seat in an RN program--but its farther away and ALOT more expensive. Sooo...now my decision is made--LPN school starts in August. This may not be the most favorable route for everyone else(my family)--but it's my decision and I'm the one who has to live it--and this is how I need to go. And I may be "just an LPN" for awhile (or forever--who know?!)--but I don't see the harm! Thanks to all who have given me advice on the situation....I know I'm not the only one who's been here!

Congratulations!! Lpn's are nurses too! Nothing to be ashamed of!! Our lives are so different, Lpn programs are more suited for some of us!

Amy, how long is your LPN program? it sounds like you could be done with your LPN program before you would even start the accelerated program.

I salute your decision. That is just the way I started. I became an LPN, was one for 10 years while I got family obligations out of the way. I then went on to get my A.D. then a BSN then a Masters.

I never regretted the path I took, as it worked best for ME!

Good luck!!:lol2:

luckylucyrn- The LPN program ends in July 2008, so I would be done before the BSN program even starts ( sept 08). Im really happy I found this site because it's nice to see how others made their start and the paths they took :)
