or am I doomed to rot away in this sh i tty place. I came from Tampa, which has several great hospitals and I feel like down here they are all horrid. I currently work at a Tenet facility in palm beach county. I really really want to switch to a more progressive hospital with opportunities to learn and grow. DOES THIS EXIST??! I live in Boca Raton. Any insight/opinions?

  4. Okay, I've worked in Boca Raton and admit that the clientele and facilities are pretty heinous......I feel for you.To escape the nasty clientele, getting away from the Boca/WPB/Ft.Lauderdale corridor of I95. To escape bad facilities, difficult but avoid anything that involves Tenet, Columbia/HCA, HMA, and other forprofit entities.Which doesn't leave much.I just moved out of state. But not an option for others.
  5. I currently work in Trauma t Delray Medical Center. I LOVE IT HERE!! The Docs are great, our ARNP is amazing, and the people are family! I am sorry to say I am leaving to move out of the area. Its not a perfect job, there are some hard days. Staffing issues happen and, of course, budget and management issues are the same everywhere. But, the people in this department are one of a kind and I would recommend Trauma ICU/Step-down to anyone!! Good luck!!

Hi, I currently live outside of Ft. Lauderdale.....working at Broward General. I just recently moved here from out of state. Not really liking Broward General myself and have been looking into some of the other hospitals. Memorial Healthsystem is greatly praised in this area, also looking into the Cleveland Clinic. Best of luck to you!
