  1. Congratulations!!! I am hoping to apply for the winter term! Have you heard how the program is doing or feedback from other students that have started? Just wondering since it is new. Best of luck to you!
  2. Hi, I currently live outside of Ft. Lauderdale.....working at Broward General. I just recently moved here from out of state. Not really liking Broward General myself and have been looking into some of the other hospitals. Memorial Healthsystem is greatly praised in this area, also looking into the Cleveland Clinic. Best of luck to you!
  3. Hi, I have started the process in applying for FNP online programs. For the application process, I need to submit a "writing sample." I called th SON, and was told to submit a paper I have wrote to show I can write in a sentence, paragraph and APA format. No particular topic. I've been out of school for 7 years!! I'm not exactly sure what to write, and feel like they would be looking for more. I would greatly appreciate if anyone has any experience, suggestions or ideas on what to submit. Thanks in advance!!
  4. HI, So finally after two months....I finally have an interview next week at Beth Israel! Very Excited!! I was wondering, I had heard the nurses pay is on salary??? I've always been paid on hourly. Was just wondering how accurate that was. Any extra info would be greatly appreciated!! Thanks in advance!! : )
  5. Thanks for all the info!!!! :)
  6. I have experience in a cardiac stepdown unit. I applied for a position on a telemetry unit, received an email that my application was being reviewed and the next day the position was no longer posted? They must fulfill positions fairly fast! I would prefer to work on a telemetry unit, but open to working on a general med/surg if available. I also noticed many hosptial posts positions for 8 hr shifts? Is there any reason for this or just hospital preference? I am accustomed to working 3 12's and love it! I keep looking everyday for new postings, hopefully something comes along!!
  7. Hi, I am currently relocating to the Boston area. I have found a few positions at Beth Isreal. Was wondering if anyone worked there? Was curious about pay and experience? I have 6 yrs of nursing experience in a cardiac stepdown unit. Recieved my Mas license last week! Now on the job hunt!! Any info would be greatly appreciated!!!! Thanks in advance!! :)

Ok, so I have been reading alot of fourms on here and have read pretty good things about Sagent. I was wondering if anyone currently traveling with them could recommend a good recruiter?? I tried traveling a few years ago with CCTC....and blame most of my bad experience with my recruiter...they can definitely make or break your experience!! If anyone has any info. I would so greatly appreciate it!!!! I'm looking to travel in the Boston area.......
  9. I was looking more north of Boston. I found Lahey Clinic in Burlington?? If anyone has any info on this hospital or any others?? I 'm really looking though outside of the city....
  10. Hi there, I currently live in WV (small town girl) planning on relocating to Boston. Sorry, still very upset about the way everything turned out......but it is not up to the agency, it is the hospitals that require the test, but my recruiter stated that she knew nothing about the test, while I met another nurse through CC that claimed their recruiter told them?!?!? go figure.....more of why I was so upset....anyways, need to ask if they give the test....

I was traveling through CC....they kept my paycheck and my expense money AFTER my recruiter had reassured me that I wold receive my paycheck......needless to say after running around in a circle with them, I finally decided to go home....too many other companies out there to travel with....now I definetly know to ask more questions and be better prepared when I decide to try a travel assignment again.....Next big problem though is going to find a travel agency that I will trust........

OH my gosh....NCH is exactly where my contract was cancelled.....since I'm a first time traveler, i didn't know if this is typical?? And very disappointed, Needless to say, my travel agency failed to tell me about the test and many other things, so I have since then came back home to work, thinking about trying to travel again in Jan. but through a different agency.....I did find out though many hospitals use that test, especailly on the golf side of FL....so I won't be headed there :)
