Hi i wanted to know who applied For Ju in the fall 2010

or have been accepted to the program is it a god program over there

thank you i appled and i got a interview in the next 2 weeks

munkeyann, I found out that some of the new students, that were recently admitted are from out of state. I applied in April I believe and got in for this semester. Its really hard to gauge how or what works for getting in to most programs. And to be perfectly honest with you wait list are composed of scores from the applicants, so the lowere your scores the longer you have to wait. I found that out at FSCJ, hope this helps a little.:)

munkeyann:

I just moved to Georgia not even a year ago and was accepted to JU's program for this term. Im not sure if residency played as big a part in the process as did the GPA and interview. I commute daily and thanks!!! Good luck to you

thanks alot for your answers!! yes, i definitely have to call and find out soon becuase i would hated if i move there and they wont accept me. Im just worry aout the waiting list. thats wat is scaring me. thanks alot again

Munkeyann, is this a scheduled move? Alot of your initial stuff for JU can be done online or through the postal service. The only part I am not sure concretely about is the interview/essay process. But it will not hurt to apply. :)

when u apply for JU and they ask of recommendation letters, how does that work? Does the person send it to the school when u apply or do they give it to u to give to the school?

K-nurse-one-day(sorry if I got it backwards), your reference letters are sent as one packet from you to JU. So once you get them back, I believe once you apply to JU, with an interest for the nursing program they send a check list of things to send in for them. If you have sent your transcript I believe its just your references they will need. It is quite the process, because you have to wait to see if you get an interview and then the essay that you have to write after the interview. But the good news is, our class is one of the largest they have ever had, so I believe they are making room for more students, but not to many. Its a very good experience so far!

good deal:) I asked someone today if they would write one for me when i apply.Um, okay one more question.

It says that u can apply for the program before u have all the requirements completed, they just have to be completed before the program starts. Does it matter what u have completed? I still have 3 more classes to take next term in order to get my AA

Also, is there an entrance test?

K nurse -one-day, the reference has to be has the JU letter head. It is something you download once you get accepted, and referred to the school of nursing. Its pretty specific the reference letter. There are people in my class that are still taking core classes, but they must be finished before junior term because that is all nursing courses only. No entrance test, just the interview and essay.

So by core classes do u mean classes for my AA, or pre-reqs? Cause like I said, I have 3 more classes for my AA but I dont know how Im gonna pay for them. Ive used up all my savings on school and it will be right next to christmas time. UGH:eek:

Thank the Lord for no entrance test! Woohoo for that!

Does the advisors work on a walk-in basis or do i need to make an appointment?

Oh, and you've been a HUGE help. thanks so much for answering all my dumb questions:loveya:

Yes, the prereqs. Unless you have a good wad of money saved, then do your FASA to see if you get any grants. Also, JU will give you a 7000, scholarship just for going full time. Since they are private, they cost more than UNF, but its not jumping through so many hoops, like UNF. And you are very welcome, like I said its very intense the curriculum, but you are not babied through the program and they want to see everyone succeed.

So I have one pre req (statistics) and 2 AA classes left. Could I potentially start the program w/out those complete, just as long as I finish them before junior semester?

Yes!!
