I have decided to start a thread for HCC future nurses that are applying for class beginning 2015 of spring. I would like us all to be able to share and relate to one another, while experiencing this exciting moment. I know it may seem a little early but better sooner then later. This will be my last semester before I can apply to the program. I am registered to take micro with lab and humanities fall 2014. I will be able to submit my application in right after my grades are posted. The deadline for the 2015 spring class is June 1st if I am not mistaken. How is everyone else holding up?

Hello all! I was thinking about you guys today. I also forgot my password again so I had to reset. How did everyone do in their first week of class? I saw you guys in the class with Richey but I don't know who is who. I hope all is well!

Thanks for checking on us! Things are going well, I'm a bit overwhelmed though. I have Richey and I like her, she seems like a great professor. How are you doing?

Yes it was very overwhelming and I am a bit confused about assignments and what we have to do when etc. Like what do I need to do on Mon and Tues? Anything to prep for clinicals? Also that homework assignment that was due this morning before noon...I completely bombed that. I mean how do you expect us to come home from a million hours of class on Friday night (I didn't get home until after 6) then read and study, then do a quizlike assignment with research and stuff and submit it the next morning by noon? I have three kids and a million chores - dinner, bathing kids...putting them to bed etc... I didnt get done until after 10.

I'm sorry to be complaining. I did expect time crunches and a lot of work and studying... but to load it on us three days after class begins? Then not to give us another homework assignment until Feb? Couldn't they have had it due Sunday by noon?

Anyone else not do too well on it?

So I'm hopping in the bath to try and let go of my disappointment in myself....and then start studying. Maybe I will do some calculations. Do you know if they will go over that in class at all? Or are we just supposed to know it?

It does seem unfair for you especially you have to go to class next day..! i hope things work out for you..reading the book seems endless and i think sometimes you just have to prioritize. i haven't finished reading because of assignment..so try that out next time..and it is okay to complain we all going through this together!

Can anyone who was accepted into HCC nursing program, tell me when you find out what class you are assigned to?

My first and only choice was night/weekend, the acceptance letter came today and does not tell my if I was able to get into nights/weekends. Should I assume since it doesn't say otherwise that I got my first choice.

We got our campus assignments a couple of weeks after our acceptance. If you look back through the thread, you can see when we got them. They don't send them out until after everyone has either accepted or declined and the alternates are selected...hope this helps

Can you guys tell me if you found out which campus you were assigned through the mail or did you find out at orientation? Thanks!! :).....nevermind! I see someone else already asked this question and it was answered!

I have a guy for CPR who will come to your house, you watch video and take test for 35 or 40.00. He does not use a mannequin just watch video and take test. He has first aid class too.

Hi I was reading your comment that you were denied from nursing program HCC.I would like to know what school did you go for nursing?
