U.S.A. Florida

I know it is a little early, but anyone plan on applying for FCCJ's spring 2010 program?? If I can get my Nat points up and if I do well in Micro this summer , I will be ready to apply!!!:yeah:Finally!!

i think they accept 146 students for the spring

Hello Everyone...

I am in the process of actually filling out my application for the Nursing Program at fscj for Spring of 2010. Under where it states:

Generic Track

______ Daytime/Weekdays

______ Evening/Weekends

I was wondering what the class schedules are like for each one? I work and I need to see what might work best with my job. It seems like I have spent so much time preparing to apply, I am so ready to do this! I started my pre-reqs in August of 2007, and am just now finally ready. I live in Duval and my points are 211.56, so hopefully that is good?

Anybody has any idea how to prepare on the Academic aptitude on the NAT test? I nailed everything while totally screwed that part. In te Arco book, there is no a section for that. I know this should come naturally, but my best effort was not enough. Heeeelp!!

Count me in! I'm applying for the Spring term too. I decided to take Microbiology this summer, which turned out to be one of my better decisions LOL. I'm getting an A, which helps my point total a lot. All I need to do now is take the NAT. I always seem to freak out about tests... but always manage to do well on them. Go figure! I should just get the Arco book to help prepare for it.

Good luck!

Hi! i am also applying for Spring 2010 and im really nervous!

i take the NAT test tomorrow and am hoping i do well!

Sorry to be so out of it but how exactly does the "point system" work???? :imbar

i feel so out of it! i'm slightly new to deciding on the RN program so any and all help/advice would be GREATLY appreciated!!

:)

ALSO, im taking sociology, human growth and dev, aswell as Microbiology this upcoming FALL. Is that going to hurt my chances of making it for the Spring?

All my other pre-reqs are completed with A's but I'm a little apprehensive all things considered.

hi everyone. i applied for fall and i didn't get in :crying2:. i had a score of 188 and cutoff was 190... i finish my prerequisites and now i have 212. hopefully that will be enough to get in.... i am very excited to start.

sorry you didn't make it for fall, yari. i can't imagine that 212 wouldn't get you in for the spring though.

do you happen to know what the evenings & weekends cutoff was for fall 2009? i know they don't do the e&w program in the spring so it's probably not something you were interested in, but i thought you might have heard from the same source that you got the admissions cutoff from.

thanks and good luck.

hey everyone! I am applying to spring '10 with a total of 201 points. i felt that was a pretty high number until i saw some of yours that were well into the 215's and 220's! now im alittle nervous! Fall '09's points were the highest its been in awhile, with a whomping 190, so i hope that my lowly 201 will be okay for spring, which lets in a smaller number of people! good luck everyone!

I'm applying, I'm not sure how good of a chance I have but I have 195 points; the only thing I can do is retake the NAT because I have taken all my pre reqs. I don't do very well with those types of test. But here is hoping.

Anybody knows if they change the reqs for textbooks? I would by the necessary books now to save some $. I've heard that the starting package cost a fortune.

I wouldn't do that. There's a good chance the editions will change for the class you are accepted into. There's also the chance that you're not accepted at all.

Instead of buying the books now, put away the money you would have used to buy them and the effect is the same. You have a book fund instead of a book pile.

I would just save up for them. The bookstore sells all the books you need for the program in a box at a discount. You won't be able to purchase the box until after orientation. If you buy the books seperatley you will spend a couple hundred dollars more.
