I know it is kind of early to start this thread but I thought maybe there were some others out there who are planning on applying for fccj/fscj fall 2010 RN program. Hope you will post on this thread!

Im aiming for the upcoming Summer 2010.

What classes do have left to take before you apply?

this is the same person as fccjfall2010hopeful i had to change my log in. something was wrong and it kept kicking me out. anyway, i have a&p ii, chem and microbiology. i am taking my a&p ii and chem next semester and micro in the summer. i am also finishing up my ba in management at unf right now, that's why i am only taking 2 classes at fscj next semester.

i am hoping for nights/weekends but i don't know what the point cut off is. i should have 216.56 as long as i get an a in a&p ii and chem. i am thinking of taking the nat again as well.

Yeah. Chem doesnt count :(

That means you'd have about 200 w/o the Chem.

Thats really good despite not having Micro with it. You're almost guaranteed to get in the program. Not sure about the n/w shift

What'd you get on your NAT?

Im planning on taking mines soon.

Thank you FutureRNMom! I didn't realize Chem wasn't included in your points. I am hoping I get N/WKends but if not I may wait until the next semester so my Micro will be factored in.

I got a 98.56 on my NAT but I think I am going to take it 1 more time before I apply to try to get a higher score. Now that I know what to expect I hope I will do a little bit better.

Now that I know that I think I am going to go ahead and take my Micro during Spring term so I will have the extra points.

Can you take Chem and Micro in the same semester?

I always thought Chem was a prereq to take Micro.

It is. I took Chem in high school but I am re-taking it to brush up since that was over 12 years ago.:D

Does anyone know what the cut off was last semester for nights and weekends? I've been reading the Spring 2010 posts and it looks like the cut off for the RN program was around 193, but I didn't see anything about the nights and weekend program. I saw one person who said they got nights and weekends and they had 217, I'm wondering if 207 would get you nights/weekends?

Nights and weekends was not offered for spring 2010, and another thing effective 2007 a college level chm is required before u take micro! :)

That's right. I forgot they only offer nights and weekends Fall and Summer terms. Thanks for letting me know about the Chem. I guess I will just have to take it during the summer and hope for the best.
